That would have been exciting!
I guess I'm a bit of a weather geek myself. My kids were terrified of a potential storm, and my sister joked that I'd been with my ex (a meteorologist) too long.
We did get a nice, crashing thunderstorm on the way home, but the sailing was smooth. My dad consoled me when we got home by showing me some footage of the time he and his wife crossed the North Atlantic and saw icebergs. (Not that I'd been expecting icebergs in the Caribbean.)

Hmmm..."tolerable" would probably be a better word. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 representing a perfect time and 1 representing me hospitalized on suicide watch, I'd give it a 4. My father was thrilled to be with the grandchildren, so that made it all worthwhile.
