Another long, dreary week of overcast skies and rain here. Sooooo tired of it.  :(

Heat and humidity are on the way. Blech. I wish I could pack it up and send it to someone who would actually enjoy it.

It's so amazing that you know all that! And I didn't know about Dartmoor Prison or even what a privateer was; I had to look them up.  :)
Look up Gen. Glover's regiment of Marblehead, MA. I'm sure there's some good stuff. A good book on us is called Headers, In Life and Legend. Your library could get it. Some of it's pretty funny!

Thanks, Kelley!  :)  Somehow I missed that when you posted it.

That's okay, Kathy! Did it work?

I guess this library system doesn't appreciate 'Headers. But the good news is the entire book is online, thanks to Marblehead Magazine. I will definitely check it out. It looks as though the first in my Lynde line landed in the Massachusetts Bay area. But there's still the Moon, Clark and Horton lines that all came from New England. There could be some 'Headers among them!

I got in contact with a woman whose last name was Moon. Somehow related to my 8th great grandfather. I'll look it up!

Maybe we're long-lost cousins. LOL

Holy cripes it was a hot, humid record breaking weekend. I feel so sorry for people who don't have A/C.  Uuugh!

I was looking forward to a thunderstorm today. Instead, it just got a little windy then the humidity blew out. I love a good thunderstorm!

I do, too! Except out here in the Plains I get worried about tornadoes. Last week the weather service issued Severe Thunderstorm Watches on two different nights, and we got nothing. It's hard to resist bitching about forecasters when my ex is head of the local office here. (I don't usually resist.  ;D  )

We had a good thunderstorm here, and a hail  :o

You sure did! Those aren't scratches on your car are they? At least Michael got to have fun with it! I remember one year I had just planted flowers and we got a hailstorm. My kids went on the porch, caught some hail and put it in the freezer. I found it in there several months later and wondered what the heck it was. Then it came back to me; it was that hail that ruined my flowers!

Yesterday we had some of the Texas storm and it just plain down poured for quite a while. No flower damage fortunately. Every one got a really good drink!
