Uggghhh; it is actually snowing here right now.  :(

Yes. Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial kick-off to the summer season. Yet in good old North Dakota winter has yet to leave us. The state is America's statistical outlier.   roll:)

Y'know, sometimes I wake up and think "I was supposed to be a high-powered in-house editor in a big East coast city with four seasons. Where did it all go so awry?" or, in other words, "How the heck did I end up here???"

Oh, for goodness' sake, on Friday, a mere 8 days after our last snow, temps are supposed to hit 100 (~38 C). Can we not hit a happy medium?  ha2ha

I promised myself I wouldn't complain about the hot temperatures this summer given all the b-tching I did about the subzero Arctic chills of last winter, but. . . seriously? I'm moving (locally, unfortunately) on Tuesday: forecasted high of 97 F (~36 C). Yuck! I just hope nobody—including myself—keels over from the heat. I'm going to have a cooler full of ice and water bottles (and a hefty tip) ready for the movers.

Temps the next day, when I need to finish up with the smaller items, are supposed to be 100 F. Ugh.

I know subzero temps and icy pavements would be infinitely worse, but. . . I kinda wish the weather gods would just split the temperature difference. Like, 30 F in the winter and then about 50 F in the summer. That'd work for me.  ;D
