So why do the other three Beatles seem to dislike her so much? I'm not saying she's the reason or anything and when I say she's evil it's a joke. A very old joke ya know. But I do wonder why the other three had issues with her.

I'm sure she's a very cool person. But at the time I think they were both a little nuts.

But maybe they were sane to each other. Maybe it's other people who think they were "nuts" because what John and Yoko were doing seemed so insane and ridiculous. But to them it seemed to make sense, and it mattered, or else I just don't think there would be a point for them to do it. For attention? Why, when most of it was negative and they didn't seem to appreciate the negativity in the first place.

As for the other three Beatles dismay towards Yoko? I don't see how that should configure towards the ultimate perception of her as a person. I'm sure there are people who don't like me, but I certainly wouldn't consider it fair for supperters of those people to also dislike me for no other reason than the fact that their friends don't care for me. G and P seemed to be the ones most distraught by her, and they would be considering how she up and becae a massive part of John's life, to the point that he started blocking other things out of it.

But that is not entirely her fault. Let me assure you I am not trying to disagree with everything being said against Yoko. I do actually agree with some things, but the fact that the other Beatles didn't care for her doesn't really correlate, to me. I don't consider their judgments the end all be all, neither do I consider John's.

Didn't George also eventually warm to her? Yoko spent some time at Friar Park and is actually a good friend of Olivia's. I think the times called for every one being a little ill-at-ease, and I don't really blame any of them for that. Ringo was always the most easygoing, though. Bless his heart. :)

I agree with everybodys opinion except -

I feel she wore the pants in that relationship. She was the boss, but hey,,,my wife is the same way.

I dont dislike her, but I still wonder what may have happened. It could have been said about any of the other mates too, I suppose.

She was an intrusion on their work world.  But JOHN is the one to blame,  He used her as a passive/aggressive wedge to ultimately break away from the group.  HE is the one who brought her to the sessions.

I agree 100% with Mr. Charlie, despite my point being made into several paragraphs of posts and him saying everything in just two sentences.

LENNON: "Listen, if somebody's gonna impress me, whether it be a Maharishi or a Yoko Ono, there comes a point when the emperor has no clothes. There comes a point when I will see. So for all you folks out there who think that I'm having the wool pulled over my eyes, well, that's an insult to me. Not that you think less of Yoko, because that's your problem. What I think of her is what counts! Because... f*** you, brother and sister... you don't know what's happening. I'm not here for you. I'm here for me and her and the baby!"

From the horse's mouth.  Playboy, 12-80.

Of course he then went on to say this:

LENNON: "It is a teacher-pupil relationship. That's what people don't understand. She's the teacher and I'm the pupil. I'm the famous one, the one who's supposed to know everything, but she's my teacher. She's taught me everything I f***ing know. She was there when I was nowhere, when I was the nowhere man. She's my Don Juan." (a reference to Carlos Castaneda's Yaqui Indian teacher) "That's what people don't understand. I'm married to f***ing Don Juan, that's the hardship of it. Don Juan doesn't have to laugh; Don Juan doesn't have to be charming; Don Juan just is. And what goes on around Don Juan is irrelevant to Don Juan."

So who knows?  Good old contradictory Johnnie.  sigh

And do you really think JOHN deep inside would like to be married to a Don Juan? I don't think so...

No one knows WHAT John thought.  That's the problem.

And he did indeed stay married to Don Juan, for 11 years.  So my answer would have to be Yes.

Well, there would be much to talk about this. But JOHN was a man and I think he very much preferred to haveing been married to a Doña María. ;)

Thank you. I often like to use this quote too when "fans" come down on Yoko. I can't understand how any fan of John Lennon could swipe at Yoko when it's obvious that she's the one he wanted and who gave him incredible strength, inspiration and fulfillment.
