I remember where I was when George passed like it was yesterday.

Me too. 10 years, I can't believe it! I knew that George had had cancer and each time I switched on the news, I was scared of hearing bad news and it was a relief when I didn't hear it. His death was a shock, I was hoping for his recovery.

I think that was the point when I actually got into Beatle music.

Thankyou George.

Yes, it's amazing how "close" we get to the famous yet we dont actually know them...

I'm sure I was home and heard it on the news. The only good thing about hearing of it was that his illness was already known by most Beatles fans, so it wasn't like the shock of hearing about John's death. The bad part for me is that he died on my birthday. However, I learned to deal with it:

"All the world is birthday cake,
So take a piece but not too much."

Ohh, when I was there? Did I understand you correctly? Well, the Beatles, I got 12 days before my 17th Birthday by the movie * Help! - Hi-Hi-Help *. Has admittedly always a fan of other groups or stars, but the Beatles, I never leave ;) .
