I love them both, but I voted for Rubber Soul because that's the first CD I ever heard.

I believe that Rubber Soul opened the door...but Pet Sounds kicked the door in and broke the hinges.  Also I doubt that Brian Wilson cared too much about what the public thought about Pet Sonds in comparison to Rubber Soul...had he wanted to blank the Beatles in the public's eye's he could have simply released a song about surfing and getting chicks...i like to think that he was personally much more satisfied knowing that he had created the most beautiful album in the history of rock and roll...even if only he and Paul knew it.

damn, Rubber Soul is losing by a lot :(

I think Rubber Soul is extremely important and transitional.  I only feel that Revolver has even more important and transitional material, so I guess it's "better".

Kind of apples to oranges tho.

revolver.  No, Rubber Soul.  No I'll stick with Revolver but it's very close.

I've asked my Mom this question on several occasions. It used to be Revolver for me,but I'm getting pretty tired of it. However,Rubber Soul (along with Sgt. Pepper) are growing on me.

Rubber Soul gets my vote,barely.

Revolver, hands down - it's one of my favourite albums ever, plus I prefer the more complex songs it offers :)
You can have my love, you can have my smiles. Forget the bad parts, you don't need them. Just take the music, the goodness, because it's the very best, and it's the part I give most willingly.
