I have a friend who does ballroom. She used to Irish Dance but she moved away. Now she's getting married. :)

Have fun at the performance! I love performing!

I have a lot of injuries right now, sadly. I missed a whole year of competition because of it. I'm going to get back into competition though in January. :) My toe is still off. I think I might some kind of padding in my dance shoes. I should be okay.

I hope you're okay from your fall! It's horrible to fall like that. Dancing can beat us up sometimes.  :-\

Yes! I Irish Dance. I've danced seven years and I'm in my second year of the pre dance company. I hope in a couple year I'll get to tour possibly to France. (Maybe a quick trip to London while there?) I got a new dress that costs over $1,900. It's a very nice green color with silk sleeves. I'll post a photo of it. :)

How long have you been dancing? :)

Oh wow you been dancing for a long time!!!! I only started last year... hehehe! So stil a long road for me to go.
The performance went well, it was only less than 5 min or so, but stil, it was in front of the public...
I got 91%, 93% and 94% for my three dances I did for my Latin Bronze Bar medal!!!!!! I am so happy!!! I thought the way I did the cha cha was very messy, but the judges liked it! Yay!!!!!
Oooh! I want to see your dress! I am not at the level of going all fancy and hard out for medal tests and competitions.
As for competitions, I dont have a partner... My problem with Ceroc is that it is  full of old lonely men who usually come dancing for only one thing... I am one of the youngest people there, and I did have a few problems with these men (sometimes I think the Ceroc atmosphere is not for me.. but I love dancing too much! DO you get this problem?). But yea, I wanted to the local champs this year and I did ask around but no one said yes to me :(
So do you perform in a group or with partners? That'd be awesome if you get to tour France!!!!! Where are you from, by the way?

Good job on the Latin Bronze Bar Medal! Judges can be good!

That's sad that you can't get a partner. Keep looking! Eventually you'll find a good one!
I have a guy who really likes me that I will have to tour with but he has about 22 other girls that like him as well. In Irish Dancing, usually the case is that there are three boys and 47 girls.  :-\

I perform with three different types of groups. Solo (which can be local to Worldwide competition and it's a group because we go as our main academy name), Performance (which is with the travel group), and Team (the regionals and worlds competitions).

I'm from Wisconsin. :)

So how did you get into Irish dancing?
You know what's annoying? Its the xmas break, so that means no dancing till mid Jan!!!! Wahhh!
All my dancing stuff is on facebook, so you can be my friend on FB if you want. :)
So what else do you do apart from dancing? Have you tried other dances?

I guess I got into Irish dancing because I was around Gaelic music all the time when I was little. :)

Ohh. :( Dance all year long! That's what we do.  :P

I kind of keep my Facebook to my closest friends in dancing. I hope you can understand that. :)

I walk a lot and run whenever I can. I hope I can do a marathon someday! Otherwise I just dance. It takes up a lot of my time.
I do sing though and am trying to get a band together but I don't get along with kids my age much and can't stand any younger either.   roll:)

What else do you do? Do you think you would ever try Irish Dance?

I can try Irish dancing....hehehe cant see myself doing it though.
I dont do anything else apart from dancing... This is actualy bad! I need to join the gym or something (and these are actually doctor orders!). But dancing keeps me busy.
I cant sing to save my life! But I can play the flute. Funny, my friend who does Irish dancing also likes to sing :)

I'm trying to get a job. :P School is not the greatest thing for me right now. :-\
I didn't have many plans for the Holidays. I did celebrate with my "friend" (aka, more than just bf/gf) but I don't get to see him for a whole week.  :(

It wasn't my toe. I'm having bad stomach problems and they're taking a toll on me. They're not sure what it is yet but I'm not feeling the best. I feel like I'm going to faint all the time.

So then, my dancing friend, how is everything with you? still looking for a job? How is your stomach? Any news? And what is this "friend" of yours? Are you engaged? Hehehe curious minds want to know! :P
You said that you feel like you are going to faint all the time... Have you checked your iron level? I had this feeling a while ago and I was always breathless (I couldnt walk a flight of stairs without being out of breath). So i got those iron tablets... they helped.
As for competitions - YES! I am handing in my registration form tomorrow. The competition is on the 13th of March. My first competition ever!!!! yay!!!! They give points for costume, so I want me and the partner to maybe dress up somehow... any ideas? I have a beautiful yellow dress... so can do something with that.
Sorry I dont come here often. I work full time (and part time) and when I dont work I usualy dance...

I'm doing alright...  :P

I'm still looking for a job and might get one a Dairy Queen (Ice Cream place) soon. All my health problems are the same including not being able to see out of my eye.
My "friend" is my boyfriend... we're so in love that we say we're more than gf/bf.  ;D I want to marry him and plan to.  ;yes


The doctors have checked all my blood tests and didn't find anything except for low Vitamin D which I'm not taking care of... :p

Yay for competitions!  :)  My next competition is in April... I think it's the 2nd.
I have lots of ideas for costumes... I'll send you a pm for it.

It's okay. I think I just don't have enough to do when I'm not dancing all the time or learning Spanish.  :P
