Hey Octie, I'm getting towards the end of The Prisoner and the show is starting to get super trippy. I watched "The Girl Who Was Death" and I was like......huh?! Otherwise most of the eps have been very good, and I love Patrick McGoohan.

Hope you're having a very nice time in Aussieland.

The trip was awesome!

We've been to Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Coff's Harbour and the Gold Coast - all lovely cities/places. Just did general sight-seeing, visiting museums and the zoo, went to the beach, and celebrated KE's 21st

There was even a Beatles-related highlight: we went to a horror-themed cabaret restaurant called Dracula's, and they finished the show by doing a medley of Beatles songs! They even did Octopus's Garden! (and the fact that it was the band's drummer who sang it somehow made it even better

). Lovely, lovely trip

Should set me up good and proper for work on Monday

Penny, about the Prisoner - yeah...... very trippy towards the end

Some episodes have bits that I really can't understand. And to be honest, I didn't really like The Girl Who Was Death, or Living In Harmony, for that matter. I remember "Harmony" had a very creepy young guy in it :-/ But Patrick McGoohan is very cool indeed

KE and me usually watch Once Upon a Time or Hammer Into Anvil when we're in a Prisoner mood

Yeah...I wasn't thrilled with The Girl Who Was Death; that ep is probably my least fave from The Prisoner. Living in Harmony was bizarre yet tolerable, but yes, kind of creepy. My fave ep at the moment is probably Many Happy Returns, but I'll probably reassess the eps once I rewatch them all. I don't understand everything from The Prisoner, but at least I understand it much better now than I did as a child.

I would LOOOOOOVE to hear your (and KE's) thoughts and interpretations on the finale, Fall Out. I've heard a lot of people hated it upon its first airing, but I found it both ridiculous and amazing. I liked it! AND they played a Beatles song AND Leo McKern was in that ep again!

Oh, Pat McGoohan. Man, I'm so bummed that he passed on last year, ugh. But I'm renting Danger Man/Secret Agent soon.

Have you guys seen that series?

Many Happy Returns is The Prisoner ep where No. 6 actually escapes the Village (eh, sort of...) and returns to London. Can't remember a cat, although there was a black cat in Dance of the Dead. The General is a good one, although it made me laugh because the ending reminded me so much of Star Trek (Captain Kirk knows how to outwit machines).

So glad to meet other Prisoner fans; I'm excited. I AM NOT A NUMBER, I AM A FREE MAN!
