Actually, it so happened that we moved around quite a bit... (Do you want to elaborate, Kaleidoscope_Eyes?) And I suppose when one moves a lot, it becomes rather hard to determine where "home" is...
The way I've been thinking about it recently is in terms of that old saying, "home is where the heart is"... so for me, home is where the people I'm closest to are (ie my parents and my sister - that's you K_E!

).
I don't know if that's the correct way of thinking about it, but it's far less confusing than thiking about it in geographical terms :-/

Hehe, I know what you guys mean about sports... I used to really dislike sports as well... mostly because I was really bad at it... well, I'm still bad at it, but I now I actually enjoy the sporty-ish stuff that I do

home is where your heart is... i never had problems with the term "home" because it was clear, geographical... so i don't know how it feels to be not too sure about what home is. but i like the definition you quoted. as long as it feels right to you then it must be "correct" i guess.

i haven't seen too much of the world yet, so i think it's a big gift to be able to see and experience many different places... with it's difficulties of course.

Sure

We've lived in Russia (albeit for a short time... that's where we were born, by the way), then we moved to Israel (where we grew up and lived for quite a long time), then we moved to South Africa, and now we're here in New Zealand.

As for holiday-type travelling... we've visited Germany, Belgium, Holland and France (but we've only been to certain cities/towns in these countries), and I went on exchange to Vanuatu two years ago (back at school, with my French class... that's a country in the South Pacific, by the way).

by the way... I've got a strange question... can you speak Japanese? (just wondering because in the Beatles Pictures thread, you said something like "looking worse after being to the hairdresser's" in Japanese...)

oh boy, that sounds amazing. i haven't even been once in most of the countries you mentioned... i believe it's often not easy to live like that... but still, amazing, great.

i lived my whole life in austria... just moved around from one city to the other a bit. on holiday i visited paris, italy, germany, spain, london and algeria (because a part of my family is from there) and i have a little job as a stewardess (because i love travelling so much too) and this way i was 3 days in kiew and 4 days in rhodos this year. that was pretty cool ^^

haha, the japanese... yeah, well i tried to learn the language, and i know a little bit... but it's terrible difficult :-/ i didn't pass the test at university and lost motivation...

Wow...! That is pretty cool! I'd love to visit London... and Italy... and Spain.. and.... Oh yeah, and Austria. It sounds like a beautiful country from what I heard, and also... I could come and say "hi"!

That's what I heard too... very difficult. Haha, the only Japanese I know is "yammae" and "sensei" and "swaru" and "ukemi kata", and the names of a few thows/locks [size=9](I do ju jitsu... that's the "sporty-ish" thing I was talking about...

^^ i was pretty busy the last time... but i'll come back again

i made a few drawings... i like to draw persons, especially faces the most because i think it's the most interesting... so i've a few of them... some celebs, my family, friends... stuff like that. pencil, oil... i've a john oil on canvas, it looks nice ^^
a psychedelic poster (but not coloured yet) a can of beer of taiwan... my own hand... a bit more abstract stuff...

in fact i've to take care my folder will not only include beatle-pics ^^

they said it must be diverse but it must show our personality... our hobbies, our passions too...

it's a pity my passions aren't diverse.

She drew me on of Ringo and on the side it has "Liverpool can be a lonely place...." Really cute. Its not on the wall in my office, but on the shelf in my room. I know what we can do!- take a picture of it and post it! (thumbsup)

i don't have a scanner either... i always have to make a photo and crop the background. that works... a scan looks better but i think it's enough to get an idea of what you're doing
