Teen idols, actually I never took them seriously, except Andy Gibb in the late 70's who had a few good songs and could sing, by that time I was discovering The Beatles too, I remember becoming heavily interested in their music, then in 80's I became obsessed with Duran Duran but never lost my interest in the Fab 4; and still I listen to Duran Duran although right now I'm very hooked up again with The Beatles.

Quote from: 284yeah being there was a great movie.....i love it when shirley was trying to get him to have sex with her and he only wanted to watch seasame street...i like to watch eve!,he told her so she was taking care of herself in front of the t v and he was trying to watch the t v not her..classic....yeah the 70s went overboard with the teen stuff...andy was cool...shawdow dancing comes to mind...

That's great, when he's switching the channels and copying everything on the screen. Shirley MacLaine is still cute.

He's definitely the better looking of the bunch. And I would pick him based on that song alone.

no menudo fans out there?

Hello Goodbye

Vince Edwards......Ben Casey.  I wanted to be just like him. (and I did)

And I too had a crush on Laurie Partridge

I can stay till it's time to go

Wayne L.

I'll say Ricky Nelson myself even though he was more than just a teen idol by a long shot because Garden Party is a masterpiece creatively, musically, artistically & lyrically.

he was not more than a teen idol...if garden party is your only proof then you have failed to prove he was more....
his status was never elevated more than in the 50s....

Oh - and the mighty Rolf Harris.
One of rock's great innovators - the wobble board, didgeridoo and stylophone. Bugger the sitar and backwards guitars.
And "Two Little Boys" is a more poignant (poignanter?) antiwar song than Imagine and Merry Xmas (War is Over) combined.
