« on: November 11, 2007, 12:39:10 PM »

Good vote this week, with 23 taking part. Here's the results:

1. I Am The Walrus   35
2. While My Guitar Gently Weeps    24
3.  Nowhere Man   18

Those three are through to the final. The remaining results were:

4. Ticket To Ride   16
5. You Never Give Me Your Money   11
6. Twist And Shout   7
7. All My Loving   6
=7. Two Of Us   6
9. You've Got To Hide Your Love Away   5
10. Fool On The Hill   4
11. Eight Days A Week   2
12. Mother Nature's Son   1

Trivia corner: This is the first time that every song has received votes.

The second time that I Am The Walrus has finished top.

I Am The Walrus, and While My Guitar Gently Weeps received 8 less votes than they did in the last round, with the same number of voters. Nowhere Man received the same number of votes.

The song that lost the most votes was Twist And Shout, scoring only 7, compared to 28 in the first round. A drop of 75%!!

Whahoo! I'm quite happy with these results. Seriously! Nice work, forum! *clubs the walrus over the head and innocently moves WMGGW to the top slot*

Oh, and I forgot to mention earlier that Jake Shimabukuro's performance of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" on ukelele is outstandingly awesome. :)

I'm sorry also that "Twist And Shout" moved so far down the rankings. It's a great performance. But I guess our bigotry leans towards songs the boys wrote themselves. It does for me, anyway. They're just more Beatley. Cheers.
