Favourite Album (with a twist)
« on: September 15, 2008, 04:38:20 PM »

Yes, I'm sure you've done the 'favourite album' thing before...

...but here's the twist!

After seven days, I'll knock the worst scoring album off the list. And then we'll go again, allowing the voters for that album to vote for a different one. All the way through until the final two...

They call it "Devil Takes The Hindmost"

I know what I'm voting for, but what do we think will be the last two? I'm imagining Revolver and the White Album...

In the event of a tie, both losers get erased so that in the subsequent week, their votes get redistributed.

Or that's the plan, anyway!

I voted for Rubber Soul, because to me it was the last time they seemed completely on the same page musically, without all the baggage that developed soon after. (Besides my thinking the music is the best overall).

BTW - When you get to round two, can you please indicate that in the title?  Thanks  :)

Only 16 votes? Hmm...I was hoping for a bit more response to this!

Maybe the question has been asked over, and over again too many times. And what's with the 'With a twist' thing?

The 'With a Twist' thing was that after this round is complete, I'll knock the worst scoring album off the list. And then we'll go again, allowing the voters for that album to vote for a different one. All the way through until the final two.

Single Transferable Vote.

They call it "Devil Takes The Hindmost"

At the moment, however, there's only two LPs with more than 1 vote, so it'd automatically be down to them in a final!
