Why we love George...

I remember my senior year of high school my English teacher who had a love of The Beatles like me, told me that she always thought George was the most handsome Beatle while all the rest of her friends drooled over Paul.

He's a Dark Horse all right. 

When I was a kid the 'quiet one' came last in my Beatle ranking.  Then over time he was third, then second...

Now listening back to the Beatles' output it's George's songs that I'm finding myself most impressed by.  And his guitar playing is perfect, so understated and not flashy, just right for what each song needs.

George is number one!

I don't know why I love George so much, but I do know in group footage of the Beatles, he's the one I can't keep my eyes off of.  He originally was my favorite because he's a Pisces (like me), but I would have liked him anyway, no matter what sign he was.  I love that he was quiet and thoughtful and intense, and humble and modest, so talented and ahead of his time yet for a while so under-appreciated.  He was brilliant and funny and unassuming, just quietly going about whatever needed to be done in the background.  He had a lot of inner strength and courage.

I think he was a very sweet and talented guy, who was very underrated.
I'm a pisces too, so I think us pisces people are drawn to that aspect of him as well.
I would have loved to have him write me one of his beautiful songs!

George is quite handsome, but in my heart I will always drool for Paul. LOL!
