Why Kolarski modified his posts on the second page of this thread - 1962-2004 23.8.? I remember the 'F' word being thrown around like some grade school kid, me being pointed out as the biggest @sshole on this forum, and a direct hit to every member that belongs to this forum stating that nobody had any 'general' knowledge of the Beatles.

My only guess is that he modified his cursing of I and others on this board before Dmitry saw it. He also cried that he was going to leave, but i've seen him posting again even though he cut every one of us down.

Now, now.  He already apologized (did you read the 'open apology' thread?) I mean the man can't do more than that. 

He explained that he went back and modified his posts because he was angry and wanted to make amends...erase the nastiness as it were.

If someone is going to leave a forum they sure don't care if Dmitry sees obscenities.  Joe seems to feel...the way that most of us do...some connection to the *people* here and he wants to stay.  I think he should get that chance.

I hesitate to say anything since he made a point to use me as an example in his tirades.  But honestly that wouldn't make any difference, and I would say thesse things for anyone who sincerely apologized.  Even Wayne.

There's thousands of Beatle groups online.  The ONLY thing that makes this one special is the people here.  That is a golden thing.  Golden Slumbers perhaps, or Golden Showers.  Yes, I've made my point and now I'm just rambling.

Joe came back, acknowledged his bad attitude and asked to be forgiven.  What more should we not forget?

It takes a big man to admit he's wrong and it takes a big person to accept it gracefully.  There is always the old 'burn me once' routine should he go off again.

If Wayne came back and had typed that apology I would have no problem with him whatsoever, in fact I would have found it quite noteworthy. 

I mean, if tk still harbors bad feelings, then he does, I can't change it.  I understand having someone who attacked you quite strenuously piss you off enough to where a simple apology will not suffice.  It's up to tk and especially Joe.  Since he was so vociferous puiblickly he should make amends to tk specifically publickly.  Hopefully it will happen.

But as to the rest of us, we should be willing to give him a second chance.  If he blows it, then we know.  But we ALL blow it sometimes, I know I do.  The rest is between him and tk at this point, IMHO.

I'm sorry, fellas, but my general Open Apology will have to suffice. If it doesn't, it's not the end of my world by a longshot. I was sincere, and whoever accepts that can interact with me if they choose. If they choose not to, that's fine, too -- but bear in mind that I think that would be kind of counterproductive to establishing good karma and communications on the forum. I see all sorts of bickering around here regularly, and I wish I didn't stoop to being a part of it that day. But what's done is done.

Whether I remain here voluntarily, whether I get banned -- I swear on a stack of bibles it isn't very important to me; I'm a big movie fan, and it's on movie forums that I like to spend most of my time. I do enjoy surfing the DM's Beatles Forum too, because I like to see what interesting conversations may be in progress. Let's face it -- the traffic is slow, there aren't that many things brought up aside from polls on favorite albums and so forth. But if anything's worthwhile, I like to participate. But so far all I'm seeing is harping on the past and that isn't very positive, IMO. It's not very much in the spirit of The Beatles, whom we all love here.

To be frank, it seems like tk wants to keep fanning the flames, by starting this particular thread, and even elsewhere dredging up the past (where he says "You must be JK'ing ... errr, joking..") when pc31 said, "I think like John Lennon and am bigger than Christ").

The fact that this still goes on - even after I bothered to apologize which honestly I didn't have to do - makes ME start "wondering".

A beliggerent attitude is not helpful and frankly I'm done defending it.  TK was still pissed and rightfully so.

You were the one who had the sense to realize I made the effort to erase the nastiness, and I expected that type of fairness from you so I was not disappointed when you responded intelligently. But your last post right here was quite a shock and totally out there. I guess I was wrong about you, too.

So then, okay, fine - you've just convinced me not to be a part of the group. I was quite big about the whole thing and apologized generally to everyone who was involved in the mess (which included TK). I didn't have to, but I did. What got me scratching my head this time was people still saying "that's not good enough"!

Sorry if Im the cretin to shone light on an already aged and rotten thread...But I thought I might aswell throw in my own 50 Pence (might aswell be proud of my Englishness )

Having joined the forum recently, I came to realise the Beatles is a group that will always carry arguements, disagreements...flamed opinions and the likes....when fans clash together.
Its great to share thoughts, listen to others, see favourite songs etc..especially when its on a subject that everyone feels so passionate about.
This includes everyone...even characters that may be seen as' dangerously Controversial'
(I wont name names).
Although I would like to see more detailed discussions, Ive also come to understand and respect that detailed answers arent everyones 'bag'..and thats the beauty of an Internet Forum....its a mixed bag of nuts.
