As you probley know The BEALES Let It Be NAKED! album just came out. I reallty want to get it but I'm not going to spend $20 for it. So I have Two Questions. One, what is really different about it. I know that its suppose to be the way the BEATLES wanted it to be realesd. But, how is it different from the original (withch I already have on CD and MP3 ). Two, were can I get it for cheep without piruting it.
Naked is the last album any Beatle fan should buy.Have you got all the others including the Anthologies and Past Masters? If so, you can still wait a while. The album hasn't sold that well and will probably be cheaper in the future, maybe to tie in witn a DVD release.
John's naked version of "Don't let me down," is reason enough to purchase it. If I remember correctly, the versions of the songs are like the Let it Be movie. It's been a long time since I saw the movie so I could be wrong.
I bought my CD from Costco for around $12 bucks. Do you have a Costco near you?

I have Past Masters but not the Anthologies. I also have all the origional albums from Please Please Me to Let It Be. Is there anything different in the Anthologies.
And I live in Texas. I've looked here for it a month ago and I couldn't find it. Then I looked on the web. Thats were Ifound it for $15 plus S&H (witch came out to about $20). Maybe I'll look again at a Best Buy or something.

The Anthologies contain alternative versions to Beatles songs and some unreleased tracks - if you are seriously into or getting into The Beatles, then these are a MUST HAVE. But to any casual fan, these possibly wouldn't be of much interest.
How many of the anthologies are there. I think there are 10 but I'm not sure. I also heard that there coming out on DVD and I've been looking for those.

I think it's ridiculous calling Let It Be....Naked a new Beatles album when it isn't since it was only released to satisfy Paul's ego after the original album over 30 years ago.

So you're not a casual fan! You MUST get the three double Anthology CDs before Naked. There are some songs you can't get elsewhere, some great alternate versions of well-known songs and nice versions of Across the Universe, Let it Be and The Long and Winding Road. After that Naked will seem superfluous.
bassically amlmost every song on this album sounds a bit differently... the long and winding road sounds great and so does across the universe. You might also want to take into consideration that a lot of fans/people said that this album sucked big time. To me that's not the case!

i prefer let it be - naked to let it be, it sounds much better without the overproduction of phil spector, and one after nine 0 nine is a fantastic song that was one of the first lennon and mccartney wrote but never put on an album till let it be. the long and winding road is refreshingly lightweight and easy to listen to after the pretentious spector version. as for accross the universe and two of us, worth the asking price alone if you ask me
And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make
YOu know I bought this yesterday and started listening to it. I prefer the unspectorized version too. Its so much cleaner, and so much more.. Beatlish! I like it alot. I only paid $12 for it though.. 2 disk. I like on my cd the "fly on the wall" disk. Has a little fly on it. Cute. lol

What I really love about the naked version, is the second disc "a fly on the wall" its cool, and it really lets us listen in on the Beatles recording...neato!
it's worth it just for the secret last track where you are a fly on the wall in the studio during the recording sessions. i never realised actually how high the beatles were all the time. I think john was only hooked on heroin at the time but the others just the way they talk. listen to george, come back down mate, they were at a minimum smoking weed all the time while creating the albums

I'm a dedicated Beatles fan that doesn't have everything but knows what he's talking about more than a hardcore Beatles fan that does have everything, LIBN is a TRAVESTY to satisfy Paul's ego over 30 years ago after the original album which is pathetically cheesy as an artist, I think the original Let It Be is a great classic rock album along with the original bootleg album Get Back with the original cover I heard about 16 years ago!!!

Everyone has their own opinion on LIBN. If people prefer the new, one that's fine - if people prefer the old one, that's fine too. To be honest, I was never a big fan of Let It Be, but I DO prefer the new version - ironically, I STILL don't like the song that Paul has been mainly moaning about all these years - The Long And Winding Road. For me, it's nearly as depressing as the film! But that's just ANOTHER opinion, and that's OK too!!!!
I agree. I like the newer version although I too wasn't a big fan of "Let It Be." And, "The Long And Winding Road" was my least favourite on the album. My favourite song on the album is "Two Of Us."
This album surpassses the original in EVERY way. It is a much more "Beatles" album. Phil Spector ruined it. The Naked version is the one to own! BUY IT
