This event, which occurred while the Beatles were receiving their MBEs from the Queen, appears in many Beatles unauthorized biographies. Ringo Starr did not play with the Beatles on the studio recording of the single 'Love Me Do'. The drums were in fact played by Andy White and Ringo played tambourine.
The Beatles turned down the chance to use the song 'How do you do it' for their first single. It was instead used by Gerry and The Pacemakers and was their first Number 1 single.

The least known excuse for Pete Best leaving the band is that he refused to have the 'Mop Top' hair cut that was made famous by the Beatles.

The 'Mop Top' came about when John Lennon got his hair cut by Jurgen Vollmer in Paris.

Vollmer himself had the cut and was persuaded by Lennon to cut Paul's and his.

Bob Wooler, the DJ at the Cavern introduced the Beatles 292 times between January 1961 and February 1962.

The Beatles first salary at the start on the 292 times at the Cavern was £5 and their last one in 1962 was £300.

Ken Dodd, the famous Liverpudlian comedian, had the Beatles thrown off stage when they supported him once in Liverpool. Then 2 years later in 1963 he had them on his radio show... Paul McCartney said, "We've worked with you before Doddy, at the Albany Theatre" and Dodd said "That noise wasn't you was it?" to which McCartney replied "Yeh, we were awful weren't we?" and Doddy replied "you certainly were, I had you thrown off."

This is wrong. Paul first took LSD in 1966 with his friend Tara Browne. Page 380, third paragraph, first sentence under the heading "Expanding the Field of Consciousness" in the book "Many years from now" by Barry Miles. There is also an entire paragraph quoted by Paul about the subject. Paul took acid for the second time with John on Tuedsay 21 March 1967 during the Sgt. Peppers sessions.

Ahhh, the contradicitng facts. I dont think anybody knows the whole truth about this band.

Honestly, I didnt mean anything by it Ssarah. I love your facts threads and they come in handy as quick references, its just that I had that piece of information right in front of me. Heck, my post is probably wrong. I just wanted to point out how the storys criss cross and sometimes its hard to believe one thing when something or somebody states something else. Please dont be mad.
