Sean Penn was VERY good in this - I'm surprised he didn't get greater recognition.

I really enjoyed the movie, but them I am both a huge Beatles fan and Dr Suess fan as well.

I think most songs on the CD are great tributes to the original. I haven't listened to it for ages, but from memory there were only a couple I didn;t like.

I have learnt to tolerate Beatles covers a bit more in my older years.

But what about the songs that the Beatles covered, are they better than the originals? If people who are fans of the original artists like the Beatlkes version better would the be considered nuts?

And what's wrong with Ben Folds Five?

(stirring the pot here)

I love the film and I love the soundtrack. I must say that soem covers are better than others. My favourites could be Twop of us and Lucy, but just beacuse in the film they made me feel so emotional. Sean Penn is great in this film, and the lovely little girl who plays Lucy is just great.

The thumbs up

The movie was really great. Usually I don't watch sad movies but i saw it because of all the Beatles refereances and ended up liking it. The cover versions were good I guess but no onec an be better than the Beatles.

The movie wasn't too shabby, the only real song I kind of liked was the remake of "Blackbird".

Beatles still own you and your mother though.

I'd like to say thank you on behalf of the group and ourselves, and I hope we pass the audition.

I have the dvd, very very sad story.
Songs are pretty good, of course not BETTER than the Beatles!

I really don't like Michelle Pfieffer (spelled?)
so her I could have done without, otherwise good flick!

John: You're just a lonely old man from Liverpool.

That's cute that she said that though. What was she like 8 at the time! Wonder what I would have picked at eight. Probably Oh Darling!

I think she just said that becasue Here Comes the Sun went along with the whole movie scheme, whereas Come Together did not. Did anyone else thought they tried a bit too hard? I mean there was a Lucy Diamond, a Michelle who played someone named Rita whose last name was Harrison, and a Loretta.

I mean we get the idea.

I'd like to say thank you on behalf of the group and ourselves, and I hope we pass the audition.

I loved the movie and I have the soundtrack. Some of the covers don't beat the originals though. I like the remaakes of Blackbird, Mother Nature's Son, Let It Be, and Two of Us.

I like the movie, Sean Penn did a great job. Even the little girl did some great acting. I love the songs but I don't have the album.
