I just got the rooftop concert and saw it and i was wondering how long the concert was and how many songs have been played, cuz it seemed very short too me.

The ACTUAL running order of the rooftop concert is as follows: 1 Get Back - rehearsal - not used on LP 2 Get Back - The film has an edit of these two versions - not used on LP 3 Don't Let Me Down - film version 4 I've Got A Feeling - film and LP version 5 One After 909 - film and LP version (with 'Danny Boy' at the end) 6 I Dig A Pony - film and LP version (false start as John stops to blow his nose!) 7 God Save The Queen - impromptu version while the fresh film reels are loaded - not available anywhere! 8 I've Got A Feeling - second version which was not used 9 Don't Let Me Down - second version which was not used 10 Get Back - version heard as the credits roll at the end of the film - John's "I'd like to thank you on behalf of the group..." comments are edited on to the studio version for inclusion on the LP.
The full rooftop session (minus God Save the Queen) is available on CD on Yellow Dog YD015.
For one brief moment on the roof you can hear a few notes of I Want You which they had started working on around that time. You can hear it in the background when people are being interviewed in the street. Other than that The End's list is top notch.

they were actually hoping to be arrested too...............
That is funny when Ringo stated that he could see it now,,,,,the cops busting the door down and ripping him from behind the drum set and dragging him off. Well, the cops were let in and they just pull the plugs on the amps,,,,pfft!
Goes to show, not even the Beatles could conjour up magic everytime.

I thought 2hrs showed enough. lol.....Cheers PC. In a wierd kinda way I got a bit of closure watching that. Too much to elaborate on. No way will it diminish my love of Beatles. Just hits home what a whirlwind ride for four mates. Absolutely love em.

I am surprised it has not been out on DVD a lot sooner. I suppose they had to keep marketing space for the anthologies first. Now I am a lot more interested in the longer show. Still marvelling at this 2hr gem though. Love Macca explaining about the India footage of Beatles to John, George and Ringo that he had just seen. Well phased by it. lol.

The thing is Paul has stated he hopes to add some of the "lost" Abbey Road sessions to the Let It Be DVD, early this year it was to be released in time for christmas, but might be longer (next spring?) due to more editing, we'll just have to hope its out soon. Roof Top concert was the Beatles last LIVE concert, I also enjoy Paul when he said "Your Momma will have you arrested for playing on the roof" Get Back! and the cops (bobbies) never did pull the plug, try tried, you can see George plugging his back in, after one unplugged his amp, so the cops let them finish the session. I wish I was there, but only in theater, Get Back Jo Jo....
And now my life has changed in oh so many ways, My independence seems to vanish in the haze.
