Fantasy Question for John:

(asked after his death) If you could, would you go back and change the focking lyrics to Come Together, so that you wouldn't have gotten murdered?

I think that the "Shoot me" line in Come Together only became apparent fairly recently when Mark Lewisohn heard an early incarnation of the track without the added tape delay which disguised John's actual words on the finished version. Certainly, printed lyrics never included that line. So, I don't actually think that Mark David Psycho had THAT song in mind.

Not a nice question to ask someone who's been shot 5 times in the chest by the way!
