It was in 1999 I ws bored and thaught I'd go through my parents CD's and came across The Beatles I picked up The Past Masters Vol 1 Album

Not a bad place to start. Hows the collection coming on?

I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.

ummm when I was four (1985) I had a cabbage patch record player and  my mother gave me some beatle 45s to play on it I remember just boncing around to "I wanna hold your hand". Sad thing is I think I broke one of them! I lost touch for a while then got back into them in 1995...

Very stoned and listening to The Blue Album in '76. At the time I wondered why they included what I thought was a (rather trite) cover by some guy called Richard Starkey.

My mother grew up with The Beatles and played their records constantly when I was young. I'd watch Shiningtime Station with Ringo Starr (and to this day I REFUSE to give up my Thomas the Tank Engine VHS because he does all the narration). So in a sense I was raised to appreciate them.

WHAT? That was Ringo?! No wonder I loved that so much!

Wow, didn't know.

I always knew about them growing up when I was younger since my mom was a Beatles fan, but never really got into them. But when I returned from my long "music listening" hiatus for about 4 years, I started getting into and appreciating classic rock and music from the 60s. I first got into Bob Dylan, and then the Beatles.

My mom had both the Beatles collections 1962-1966 and 1967-1970 on CD (she has a lot of more their albums on vinyl). She also has Help! on CD and The Beatles One. So anyway, I really started getting into them and became a huge fan. I also loved going on YouTube and looking through A LOT of the Beatles videos that they have - interviews, live performances, songs that I didn't have, etc...

I plan on getting quite a few of their albums on CD, but want to wait until the Remasters are out (I can't WAIT!).

It's so hard for me to pick a favorite Beatle. For me, it's usually between Paul and John. Like for example, I love John's voice so much with his songs, but Paul wrote my favorite song, Let It Be. And as for the other two, Ringo is just plain cool while George is awesome in his own right. It's just impossible for me to pick a favorite. It just depends on the day and what I'm in the mood for.

Well, that's my story.

Yep! He was the original conductor before George Carlin took over.

I discovered the Beatles on December 8, 1980. I wondered what all the fuss was about in regards to this guy all over the news. So being an industrious 10 year old, I pulled out all my parents' records and listened and listened. And I've never stopped listening. Even though the world lost some light that day, I gained the greatest music ever heard.

Merry Kringle!!!

Styx and Stones may break my bones, but "More Than Words" will never hurt me.

I'm new. MERRY X-MAS and Happy GNU year Beatle ppl! I was born in San Mateo, Cali but I live in the mess hole of the Western World, NW PA. I have Latino blood, and contrary to popular opinion, we dont all listen to Santana, Shakira, The Tijuana Brass, Ricky Martin, Los Lobos and Richie Valens...some of us totally dig the old 60's Beatles stuff from the 60's...that's me..I'm 39, but I've been obsessed since 10. (not too much into  McCartney's solo stuff (he got kind of weak over the years 4 my taste)--although I'm pretty well-versed in all of his stuff and the others--much more a Lennon and Harrison admirer.
