Well i have 3 Beatles discovery moments haha i guess it took a while to match up, let me explain. My very first Beatles moment was when i was all of two my dad's friend put A Hard Day's Night on the record player and i stood up and started dancing (which was rare because i was a very calm toddler)

Then, when Free as a Bird/Real Love were released when i was 8 years old my father, who really didn't want to force The Beatles on me because he didn't want me to just like it because he did or it was on a lot.. decided to let me stay up and watch it with him for the first time together that was pretty special.. but the question should really be when i discovered them haha because i had found anthology 2 at my local library and thought it was a greatest hits compilation and took it out.

So put yourself in my shoes a 9 year old listening to alternate takes, demos, having not heard a single one of the studio recordings hahaa, and i really liked it   I really liked grunge and that raw sound and these recordings were so intimate and raw i loved them. that was the first real spark of discovery but that faded over time until The Beatles 1

I saw the ad for Beatles 1 and all those snippets of songs and the whole thing, the look of it, the album art all of it HIT me like a brick and i BEGGED my dad to get it for me for christmas. Christmas day i recieved it and after all the other gifts were opened and the paper was strewn accross the room i popped the cd in my discman... IT FLOORED ME i still contend it's their best track list. 27 amazing songs.. and what grabbed me was the ENERGY of these songs.. i sat there in shock i couldn't understand how so many amazing songs could have been released by one band. I listened to that album every day for months. None of my friends had it but they soon bought it as i was rarely without it. I was so glad i had really discovered this band.. it was the band i wanted to hear so badly and they were amazing.

I moved on to the anthology documentary and discovered they were amazing people too the beauty of it all was overwhelming. My dad told me recently how he couldn't imagine having all of the albums available from day one without the time to let them all sink in. i consider myself lucky.

I knew about The Beatles when I was 3 years old. I saw the poster with their faces on the wall in the bedroom of my parents. I asked my father: "Dad! Who are these boys?" He laughed and told me: "They were the most famous band of musicias of 20th century "The Beatles" This guy with round spectacles is John Lennon. This guy with short blach hair is Paul McCartney. This, with long hair is George Harrison and this, who has blue eyes, is Ringo Starr. Do you understand?" I said: "Yes, I do". Then we listened to "Revolver"/ I liked the song which called "Yello Submarine"/ I was such a little girl, but I liked it very much. And I remember that day!...

I was at a party in high school, and after a lot of Pink Floyd/Led Zeppelin/Doors type of stuff, somebody put on Revolver. I thought, "That's a record," and bought a copy a few days later. The rest of the Beatles catalog soon made its way onto my record shelf, as did many books, like Philip Norman's Shout!.I quickly learned that domestic Beatles albums were a waste of money both in terms of audio quality and track selection, and started looking for Parlophone/Apple discs. Bootlegs inevitably followed- are still following, in fact.

For myself I discovered Beatles last summer.
I didn't remember exactly, but maybe I was searching for some new music and came across in the i-net to the full Beatles discography.
And I took it.
In the beginning I didn't listen to many songs and wasn't very impressed, despite of "Help". In that song I fell in love immediately.
Afterwards i "found" "Please Mr Postman" and for a long time this two pieces were my favourite.
In the automn, when the school began, I needed something to "smile me" (as I like to say) and once again came across to The Beatles. But this time I listened to my CD's completely. And they did it - smiled me.
"Ask me why", "It won't be long", "All my loving", "She loves you" and many others - I was listening to them over and over again.
And in no time in my mp3-player I had over 40 Beatles' songs, heh. But I need to say it - I like  Beatles in the beatlmania period much more then after '67. They went weird then   (but still love them, of course).

And since then I'm a huge beatles fan. This was and still is my first biggest music mania.
Because of the Beatles I'm going to learn playing a guitar, huh

(P.S. Sorry for my bad english, I am not a native speaker and I'm still learning it.)

I heard Eleanore Rigby when I was really little on the radio with my dad and it scared me. How "Eleanor rigby died in the church and was buried along with her name
Nobody came Father mckenzie wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave No one was saved" It gave me shivers. My dad is a fan, not a huge fan, just a fan, and I thought it would be a great idea one year to get him the 1 cd and a cd player/tape converter for his car for his birthday. When he opened it, he said in not too many words that he didn't want it, so my I listened to it. I found Eleanore Rigby and this time LOVED IT. I listened to it until it was terribly scratched. I started buying anything beatles I could find, and here I am today, obsessed and loving it.

I'd heard songs of them before, but I didn't know they were from the beatles. My parents aren't huge fans.
At one day I just took once a CD of John Lennon from the library. Than, my mum told me that one of the best CD's (according to her) from the beatles was the sgt. peppers. So I took that another time and put it on my computer. I listened it all the time. Than I start searching in the catalogue of the library and lend more. After that I got a CD for my birthday (The Yellow Submarine) and mp3-files from the father of a friend of mine. I bought another CD and read things about them.
I'm not very long fan, about two years now.
