I think Gone Troppo is a mediocre album from George, but not as good as 33 1/3, this solo album is almost invisible, to Beatles fans & non-Beatles fans, cynically speaking.
I want you, I want you so bad babe. I want you, I want you so bad. It's driving me mad, it's driving me mad.

Yeah, I hate you both. (I hope you don't think I am joking.)
And really, Patton miss spells words all the time in his posts...do you be a b**** to him Maria? No you don't. And it isn't that big of a deal! This is a laid back forum. It isn't something that has to be perfect. It's getting really old, really fast. You must be one of the "Bully people" that picks out only certain people.
This is really the first time I have been really ticked off on this forum. It's just to the point where it is really old. But of course you have NEVER spelled a word wrong. You and The End are perfect.
Gone Troppo is better than all of the other Dark Horse albums, excluding Cloud Nine. Half of it is really great, which is more than I can say for some of his other albums.
"Only people know just how to talk to people. Only people know just how to change the world."
Rowdy, I'm coming to see we don't see eye to eye on lots of solo albums (though we both enjoy WILD LIFE!)
I think GONE TROPPO is hands down George's least album. I like the song Dream Away best, because it was from TIME BANDITS which was in the theatres around then.
other decent songs...
Wake Up My Love That's the Way It Goes Gone Troppo
Those four songs you mentioned are my favorites from the album, and yes "Dream Away" is undoubtedly the best.....fantastic melody. None of the other Dark Horse albums that came out before Troppo have four tracks of that caliber in my opinion...
"Only people know just how to talk to people. Only people know just how to change the world."
Here are some tracks I liked from other Dark Horse albums:
SOMEWHERE IN ENGLAND: Blood From a Clone Unconsciousness Rules Life Itself All Those Years Ago Baltimore Oriole Teardrops
GEORGE HARRISON: Love Comes to Everyone Not Guilty Here Comes the Moon Soft-Hearted Hana Blow Away Faster Dark Sweet Lady Your Love Is Forever Soft Touch If You Believe * (HEY! That's the entire album! )
THIRTY THREE & 1/3: Woman Don't You Cry For Me Dear One Beautiful Girl This Song See Yourself It's What You Value True Love Crackerbox Palace
As I typed these titles I thought to myself, "oh come on, Rowdy - there are some great Harrisongs here!" You really don't think any of those match GONE TROPPO's?
