Please!  No apologies (from YOU anyway).

We all have our quirks...and I know a lot of people who are indeed language folks that get easily irritated by inconsistencies or just bad usage.

I understand, but sometimes it still surprises me.  The questiion and thread subject is quite valid.  No problem-o there!

This is something that has always bothered me.

Did Deorge mean "Love You Too", like maybe he was absent-minded and confused "too" with "to", or did he put it that way by accident; maybe he was writing the title down and someone interrupted him, and he never got around to adding that last "o" there? Or, is there a whole word missing, like maybe he was going to title it "Love You To Death" and got interrupted and never wrote the last word, or what? Drives me NUTS!!

hehe,

i've got another speculation :
george wanted to say something directly...

look at the last lines of the song:

I'll make love to you
If you want me too

that last >too< has been exchanged with the >to< of the title.

if you do not believe this, you probably may be right.

Ooh, good point: "If you want me too". I never thought of it that way

Holy sugar!  I didn't notice the 'too' on first reading this!  That makes not only perfect sense but makes the whole song a very clever thingie.

Very good call!
