I find it funny as hell that I took a required class my freshman year where I had to memorize all the countries in Europe... Ok seriously...I probably will never get to Europe so why does it matter?  Well Maybe it is a bit good to know...interesting an all... BUT the thing is...I have NEVER once had to learn the states in the United states. I Never had to learn capitals or anything. 

I think they need to look over their teaching program and replace some things that they missed.  I mean...we have to memorize Europe but not where we actually live?
