Lovejoy: Judgement Day is upon us. I warned you the Lord wouldn't stand for your minidresses and Beatle boots. Flanders: [trying to remove a pair of said boots] I've resisted these for thirty-five years. Why did I wear them today?
George: Hello, Homer! I'm George Harrison. Homer: [incredulous] Oh my God. Oh my God! Where did you get that brownie? George: Over there. There's a big pile of them. Homer: [Laughs crazily, then devours a whole bunch] [satisfied] Oh, ma-an... [devours more] George: Well, what a nice fellow. (and it's not even sarcastic!)
Dear Marge. Thanks for the fab painting of Yours Truly. I hung it on me wall. You're quite an artist. In answer to your question, yes, we do have hamburgers and fries in England. But we call French fries `chips'. Love, Ringo. PS: Forgive the lateness of my reply.
Oh yeah! there's another one! When the Springfield is named "fattest town in America" the Sea Captain says, "Arrr, now we can stop all the lies!" And he points to a sign that says "Springfield: Birthplace of The Beatles". There's actually a nice illustration of the moptop Beatles on that sign.
I'm a Simpson-o-phile,a conessuier, if you will...
You're so vain, you probably think this post is about you.
I love the Simpsons...I've seen the episode with Ringo more than 8 times (I have it on DVD). I'm going to buy the fifth season with the episode with George in it...lol. But that's gonna take a long time.
The George episode is great. So many references, esecially the rooftop concert. I've seen the Paul episode a number of times, as well. ("If you play Maybe I'm Amazed backwards, you'll hear a recipe for a really ripping lentil soup!")

In Everybody Loves Raymond there is a scene where Robert is having trouble with her girlfriend who they're about to marry (I never figured out her name yet, sry . But it's that really eccentric woman).
Anyway, the parents of her family isn't happy about this, and the families are fighting about this the whole episode. The eccentric lady goes to her room and stays there. Raymond has had it and comes and talks about how it doesn't matter about family feuds because "What you need is love..... love is all you need!" At that point the audience cracked up histerically and Raymond continued, "Love! Love! Love!"
I couldn't breathe after that scene
I know the explanation was kinda confusing, but I'm horrid with names and it's been a while since I've seen the episode
Shake your tired eyes the world is waiting for you Words Of Love

i was watching the Daily Show with John Stewart the other day during its convention coverage and it showed a clip of someone (Sharpton I think I cant remember) saying that they would now answer all Bush's questions. It cut back to Stewart and he did a bit where he just ran through answers without giving the question and the final answer was Pete Best. I got this image of W sitting around talking about the Beatles with Rumsfeld and I almost died laughing.
It seems like I've heard Yoko's name on several sitcoms when someone is trying to point out that another person is trying to ruin things. One of them was on That 70's Show when I think Jackie started dating Hyde. Eric says: C'mon Yoko! You're breaking up the band!
But I swear I've heard this type of joke on other shows. I just can't remember them all. Poor Yoko!
Oh yeah! Yoko jokes are on like every show! In fact there was another one on That '70's Show. hyde was dating this really slutty chick and he brought her into the basement. She said it smells funny and left, and Eric's like, "Good riddance, Yoko!" then when Fez and Hyde and Kelso give him strange looks he says, "What? We're kinda The Beatles.." Poor Yoko is right...

Has anyone ever watched the Animaniacs? They have almost as many Beatles references as the Simpsons do. I think one of them is supposed to be Ringo. Personally, I think he sounds just like George. But either way his accent is very Liverpool sounding!
This has nothing to do with the Simpsons...Did someone see 'That Thing You Do!'? It's about four guys who are trying to become some superstars. And it's not the Fab Four. I loved that movie, haven't seen it in years! That song just sticks into your head...
I never saw this one until recently: In the episode My Mother the Carjacker they play John's song Mother after Homer's mom is arrested and he's staring at pictures they took together. How cute!
