Forgot to mention over the weekend; on Friday night's UK TV show Later With Jools Holland, Roger Waters was interviewed briefly by Holland, and he asked Waters two interesting questions:

Is there a chance of Pink Floyd reuniting after the Live 8 performance?

Answer: Waters said he thought it was quite possible.

How difficult is his current project compared to Pink Floyd?

Answer: He said Pink Floyd was ' a doddle' compared to his latest project!!!!!

Waters performed no music on the show.

I'm afraid they're not going to tour,... they've rejected some BIG offers some weeks ago (listened on the radio).

i hope they tour some day, but i don't think it will ever happen... maybe they'll do like 1 big concert in a specific place or a charity, but I dunno, I just don't see them playing in a big Europe+North American tour...maybe they'll just be playing in the UK i don't know....

but I'd like to see the whole pink floyd live one day, even if its a farewell tour...

No Floyd album since the mid-nineties! All the material they must have got together since then! Just dragging their feet. Maybe they are planning to retire it all on some fantastic project. And, maybe negotiating nowadays to get Roger back on board.

I think Roger wants but Dave doesn't.

Well, Dave only did two solo albums...sadly! Both are great, especially the first. But, the second - nice production. If he's not mad keen on Floyd, it's a pity he doesn't give us a new solo album. I mean, if Dave became 'the voice' and guitar of Pink Floyd after Syd left, then those two solo albums are fairly Floydish and therefore a good 'substitute' for Floyd albums. Know what I mean?

Can't share your view on WTIO, sorry. Wright did better songs in early Floyd days. But, it's a pity Waters pushed him aside in the mid seventies. I heard Wright's album Wet Dream (!) a long time ago. That's also 'Floydish' and deserves a listen if you can beg, borrow, or download it.

you should have a listen to their stuff...there's some good stuff...

by the way, for those who didn't know yet Gilmour will be releasing a solo album in 2006

DAVID GILMOUR: On An Island...

Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour has more than one reason to celebrate on his 60th birthday next year - March 6th 2006 sees the long-awaited release of his new solo album "On An Island".

Released on EMI Records, the album is the first solo release from David since 1984's "About Face". Following the release of "On An Island", David will embark on a European and American tour during the months of March, April and May 2006 - and we should have details of these dates soon.

"On An Island" is produced by David, along with Chris Thomas and Phil Manzanera. Orchestrations are by the renowned composer Zbigniew Preisner and were recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London.

The title track teams Gilmour with David Crosby and Graham Nash - three of the greatest voices in contemporary music. Richard Wright, Robert Wyatt, Jools Holland, and Guy Pratt also feature on the album.

and I read somewhere on the net that they will do a small farewell tour in 2007, but thats probably BS lol

Roger is touring, releasing a political album called Heartland, and (another!) sequel to The Wall!
