There's a Progressive Metal unit from Germany called Tiamat that are very Floyd-inspired.

Does anyone listen toFLOYD'S influences? Besides the obvious three (The Beatles, Cream, and Bob Dylan), I mean. William S. Burroughs, Sun Ra, and Thelonious Monk are all great and weird.

oh my goodness i've heard of thelonious monk before. deffinitley will have to check them out..hopefully i will have discovered one of my own gems!

Four people think they suck? Well, that's not too bad I guess. Did anyone see Dave or Roger on tour? I missed both. Well, Roger didn't even come yet but I know I'll miss him. I'm broke. It sucks. I REALLY wanted to see Dave! Oh well. Now if it were a Pink Floyd reunion, I'd sell my blood for the money to go.

Definintley. How old is Dave in that picture? He looks REALLY young.

It takes a lot of patience to listen to Pink Floyd. Especially since you can't FF CD's! I love Shine on You Crazy Diamond, but it's freaking 17 minutes long!! Don't mean to be "flogging a dead dog" as the sex pistols may say, but are you saying you dislike the creepy laughter? I was mesmerized by it the first time I heard it at about age 8. But then, I alwasy have been a little morbidly fascinated.

I wrote that a long time ago. I think I was speaking about why Pink Floyd isn't for everybody. Which obviously they're not. I love the laughter. It's cool.

Seriously, though. How old is he in that picture? Do you know what time it was? He doesn't even have that five o'clock shadow. He looks kind of like a chick in that picture and (god help me) at pretty one at that!

Yeah I am ashamed to admit that I was quite attracted to Dave in that pic. I did think he was a chick as well lol.

Wha? That would be a pretty masculine girl then. He looks about the same age as he did in Pompeii. It's just a blurry picture.
