Ok, so here is how the Rain concert went. We got to the paramount theatre about 6. It looks kind of crappy on the outside but inside it is amazing. There are really big, old chandeliers that hang down that are really pretty. I tried to take a picture of them but I don’t know if it will turn out. Actually, I don’t know if any of the pictures will turn out because the camera was cheap and it was dark.
We got to our seats which were probably 7 rows back off to the left side but honestly I don’t think there was a bad seat in the whole place. It also was sold out but still comfortable so that was nice.
They came on and sang some of their songs from 1965 and it was great. (the songs they sang when I went and saw them at the flight museum) Then they changed into the Sgt. Pepper Era with the colorful suits etc. Then the third change showed the Abbey Road time. They had that picture where all four of the Beatles are walking across the street and John is in the white suit and long hair etc on the back wall blown up so that it was huge. Rain looked soooo much like them it was crazy. I seriously could not tell the difference at all!
Lets see… they did Hey Jude and towards the end of the song where its like…na na na na na na, na na na, hey Jude. They were like Ok all the people under 20 sing it! And it was really soft… and then they were like ok everyone over 40 sing it! And it was soooo loud hehe. It showed the age group. And then they had just the girls sing it and then just the guys sing it and when the guys sang it they were like (Viagra guys, come on you sound like the girls, you can go deeper then that!) so they defiantly had some humor going.
They were like ok…what song would you like to hear next…and everyone was yelling songs and they were like oh we know…and started belting out…WHO LET THE DOGS OUT… and the look on those old peoples faces lol….it was so funny. They only sang those words and then was like…see that is the taste of what we have today compared to back then… as you can see the taste is dying. It was really funny. Then they just took out acoustic (sp?) guitars and sang a few songs which was really neat because you could actually really analyze their voice… they sound so much the same that it is amazing.
You could really tell that they were a tribute band and not imitators because they never said… and here is Ralph playing Ringo! Instead they said here is Ralph on the drums! Etc.
I had sooo much fun! And then after of course I got to go spend the night at Jakes so all in all it was the best night I’ve had… maybe ever? Hehe.

Are 'Rain' the same band that did the music on 'birth of the beatles' (the film that had Nick Cotton as George Harrison)? i thought that film was the closest to replicating the atmos. of liverpool at that time and the relationship of the beatles, despite that fact that john looked about 10 yrs too old and there were loads of innaccuracies. It was far more accurate in feel than 'backbeat' because it was only a t.v movie and not so much pressure to make a drama film. discuss!

well it was definitely a band called 'rain' so must be them. what did you think of that movie? (anyone)
I think it was a great film - but a BIT biased in favour of Pete Best (he was the technical consultant!). I still have a copy of it on video - and "Rain" did a great job on the soundtrack... especially Love Me Do!
I went on their website http://www.raintribute.com ....Their music is good...They really don't look like the real ones, but they still play really good music...saw a couple of em' videos and i quite enjoyed...
