I have heard from reliable sources in the music business that Paul will officially announce that his upcoming world tour will be his last with a final concert in the US at Shea Stadium in 05 which will be filmed for a concert documentary with footage from the Beatles classic performance 40 years before even though there are no plans from him to retire from making music.
I want you, I want you so bad babe. I want you, I want you so bad. It's driving me mad, it's driving me mad.

The internet is full of rumors most of the time so I wanted to do my part since mine isn't cruel or idiotic but I think my prediction will become fact!!!
I want you, I want you so bad babe. I want you, I want you so bad. It's driving me mad, it's driving me mad.
Paul McCartney may have rocked in his cradle, he certainly rocked as a teenager, he certainly rocked when he was a Beatle.
But since 1969, you wouldn't really say he rocked, would you? Certainly some songs are what you could call "rockers", but honestly: Paul McCartney makes his living from silly love songs, and nice sentimental tunes.
But I admit he can do it when he wants to – he just hardly ever seems to want to! But check out the Macca/Blockheads version of I'm Partial To Your Abracadabra, on the Ian Dury tribute album. There, he rocks!
So: No, Macca won't rock in his wheelcahir – but he could.
Well, Macca DOES rock! So, he may not rock in his wheelchair, but he will definitely still rock when he gets really old. See what I mean? Argh, don't you just hate how the word "rock" can be taken in so many different contexts?

OK, I revise: Paul will still perform till he's very old indeed.
And they'll "Roll" him out onto the stage in his wheelchair. Of course, Macca's an independant type of guy, I'd say. So he'll probably prefer to do it himself.
Stagehand: "Please, for the last time, LET me help you on to the stage Mr. McCartney. That on ramp's really tricky business."
Macca: "For the last d*** time I said I'm okay! 'Let Me Roll It' myself."
.....Sorry, couldn't resist!

Rock, rock, rock – what's all this rock stuff?

Yesterday I listened to CHOBBA B CCCP and Run Devil Run. I must admit that I still think CHOBBA B CCCP is better. But honestly, I don't think he rocks. Paul plays up-tempo numbers sometimes, but it's not rock.
But you said it: "he just don't helter skelter no more....."
Or Can't Buy Me Love or I Saw Her Standing There or Long Tall Sally or Drive My Car or ....
Ok, so its said that Paul doesnt rock. This is a dead horse, but i'm willing to beat it again. No, Paul doesnt rock when compared to somebody like Ted Nugent or Motley Crue. I agree. The question is, did any of the other Beatles actually rock more than Paul during their solo careers? I do agree that Paul makes a living in the love song/pop genre, but he does throw the 2 or 3 romps on every album.
Like TE stated, i've seen Paul live 3 times and he does rock.

I think Paul will "possibly retire " after this tour because he's not getting any younger with only occasional live appearances afterward even though he probably has about 2 more albums left in him of original material as an artist at least before he retires for good from the music business!
