I like the old Guns N Roses (1987-1993)
AFD is one of my all-time favorite albums and I love Use your Illusion II also. They were an incredible live band also

The 'new' GnR is a joke, those freaks don't have an idea of what they're doing and are puppets controlled by Axl. It's pretty clear that Axl is nothing without Slash, Duff and Izzy. Sometimes I wonder if Chinese Democracy will eventually see the light.

oh yeah, Sweet Child O' Mine is their most famous song. It has a great intro of and the guitar solo by Slash is considered one of the best ever

I never really liked them, Axl's voice is just too whiny for me - it just gets on my nerves! I also never liked how he sang some words: "Sweet child of my-ee-ine" and "knockin' on heaven's dor-oo-wor".

Their cover of Live and Let Die is annoying too. I remember in the 80's thinking, if I hear Welcome to the Jungle one more time I'm gonna have to smack somebody! Ugh, when he goes na na na na na na na kneeees! Shut up!! Or was it the 90's? It's all a blur.  I did like Cold November Rain though. For a little while anyway. I didn't know they were a band again! When did that happen???

Welcome to the Jungle was more of a 80s song because AFD was released in 1987

As for the 'new' band, they been around for a while, Axl called some guitarists after Slash and Duff left the band. In 1999 the new GnR released a song called 'Oh my God' that was featured in the 'End of Days' movie soundtrack (the song is a piece of crap), for that particular song Axl worked with Paul Tobias, Dave Navarro and Robin Finck.
After that the band had some changes in the lineup, Axl announced Buckethead as the lead guitarist and they've been working in the new album 'Chinese Democracy' for seven years and it's not released yet!

New GnR appeared in the 2002 MTV music awards and had a brief tour but Axl cancelled the tour after playing in a few cities (classic Axl) and that caused some riots.
They were supposed to play at RIR 4 this year in Portugal but Axl cancelled that too. There are no words on the release date of Chinese Democracy

I like some of their songs, tho Axel's voice was always more annoying than good.  Sweet Child o Mine has got one of the best intros in rock ever.  Simple yet effective.

I know 'some' of those people. They are crazy, they think Axl is a god. No music group can match the Beatles, never.
GnR was the most popular rock band in the late 80s/early 90s until the bands from Seattle came into the scene and took the crown.

I know people who thing Cobain is a god. Well they are sadly mistaken. There is only one god. Plus he's okay. I probley shouldn't have said that. Bruno might kill me.(behead)

NO performer is a god.

Axl was and is a punk, nothing more.
Kurt was a smoldering ember waiting to burst into flame, and he did.
