For No One. A great song, with wonderful lyrics, written from an unusual standpoint, the detached observer (... /you find that all the things she said/will fill your head/you wont forget her).
This observer is incredibly matter-of-fact and laconic (... a love that should have lasted years, ...you won't forget her, ... cried for no-one, and other lines). This adds to the poignancy of the song.
If you class Eleanor Rigby as a love song, I would put it even greater than For No One.

"I Will"... The melody is absolute perfection. What a beautiful song.
Also "Maybe I'm Amazed." Ditto what lennonlemon said about wishing to be Linda!

I have recently heard a SUPERB version of Maybe I'm Amazed which really reminded me of your recordings Missy. It's an acoustic version by "Jem" and I think you would love it! It made me think that YOU would be able to do a great version of this too! Please let me know if you would like to hear it
I believe I've heard this version, and yeah, I really like it. It was featured on the O.C., which is pretty popular over here across the pond. I tried to make my own little arrangement for it a while back and got really frustrated, but I just may try again. Thanks for thinking of me, Al!

Yep, that's the one! I was pretty sure you'd like that version too!
I actually have it on CD single and I'm sure it mentions something about the OC (which is ALSO popular THIS side of the pond too!). Look forward to hearing your version too!!

Good to know! I make the big move to England in little less than 4 weeks and was wondering if my weekly O.C. night would be much different. Over here it consists of a room full of guys and girls who will occasionally yell at the characters and throw objects at the screen. Yes, it brings us together.
I'm quite proud of my OC hatred. Despise that show. Rich people sleeping with each other. Oooh, that's entertainment all right! Stuff like this stays on the air yet Joan of Arcadia is cancelled... what a world we live in.
Well, enough of my ranting. Alan, I'm assuming that this is not the "Jem" you are referring to?
Help me, I'm talking and I can't shut up!
You're so vain, you probably think this post is about you.
