Anyone seen the movie the two of us?A fictional film exploring the possiblilty that paul just popped in on john at the dakota in the 70's.It was based on a rumor that he did just that in 76 when he was on tour and had a stop in new york.i really enjoyed it,and was pretty touching really.this prompted me to ask does anyone know the extent to which they stayed in touch during the 70's up until john's death.what was thier relationship,if at all....anyone know?

Yeah, I've seen that film, I'd say it's a factional portrayal of John and Paul's meeting - not quite fact but not all fiction!
Aparently John and Paul did very nearly take a trip to the Saturday Night Live studios after someone said come come down if they were watching! I'm not sure if I read that somewhere... or maybe dreamed it up!
I think their wounds had pretty much healed by the time of John's death, but I don't think they were in regular contact.

I think The Two Of Us is probably the WORST film about the Beatles even more so than Birth Of The Beatles since it's about John & Paul getting together back in 76 with more fiction than fact excluding their possible SNL appearance which never happened.
I want you, I want you so bad babe. I want you, I want you so bad. It's driving me mad, it's driving me mad.

Yeah it was complete fiction but i enjoyed it nonetheless. It had a few weak moments, but it was an interesting speculation and i came away with a good feeling afterwards. now back to watching fox news and drool to some good leg shots
I think I've seen it. Was that the one where John and Paul were in some restaurant and a fan came up to John and started talking to him? The fan didn't recognize Paul and John asked him if he liked Paul McCartney? Am I thinking of an entirely different movie or is this the correct one?

It's great to KNOW somebody appreciates long legs & sexy feet on beautiful women besides me & likes the FNC newsbabes. The Two Of Us is CRAP of the lowest common denominator.

I saw this film a long time ago....I still remember a lot of it, but it was quite dull for the most part without much exciting.....I think in real life they would have had more fun than make Jiffy Pop and all.....

I heard that theirs this part whe Paul says to John I see a man who blames himself for his mothers death something like that....I am not sure, but its very strong and sad
Paul did visit John at the Dakota at various times in the mid 70's and the "near gig' at SNL is reportedly true. Paul popped in at John's to many times without notice and John got ticked and told Paul to 'call' before showing up and Paul took it a bit to personal. Paul did try to contact John during the Double Fantasy sessions but Yoko didn't foward the message to John.
