I feel its the last album of a certain era of rock and even if artisticly not the most original or even interesting deserves mention. Everyone knows a few tracks, but suprisingly few have actually heard the whole album.

I like how the guys sound on it. Clean guitars and clear voices. Don't know why but when I think about good sound (not exactly production) on any album about the guys Abbey Road and Please Please Me always come to my mind.

How can it go from artisticly unoriginal and uninteresting to their 2nd best? That must mean Revolver is absolutely dire.

Did I say that? Oh yes, well, what I meant by that is that unlike their later works its more their interpretation of something, as opposed to the boys creating their own world. It seems artisticly less original but all around musicianship is possibly the best on any album ever.

Did that make sense?

There is truly only one album that I think rivals it for musicianship alone, The Doors self-titled release.
