Like our friend George, Ringo needs a complete disc retrospective that covers his entire career....obviously, he's been on quite a few labels, so this would be difficult, but it would prove to be a more fufilling collection than the barely 30 minute long one that doesn't go past '75. I agree with you I would like to see a Ringo retrospective which would be in the same leagues as Blast From The Past except up to the present.

I have most of Ringo's stuff up until Goodnight Vienna - nothing after that, sorry Ring! Regarding his more recent material - I have enjoyed what I've heard especially the songs written by Jellyfish's Sturmer and Manning. La De Da was very catchy too - just like Doris Day said!

I'd buy it, especially if it had some nice liner notes.  Why do liner notes always suck these days???

Not a bad listing and very close to my own..... but I would have made a couple of changes. I would have started the compilation off with Sentimental Journey. I would then eliminate What in the..World and replace it with the more commercial Weight of the World; I would also eliminate Memphis in Your Mind. I might also remove Early 1970 - not because I don't like the song or anything, but to keep the same number of tracks you suggested ( 18 ) and add my substitutions. Early 1970 was never a hit or anything; it was only a B-side but because it's known from BLAST FROM YOUR PAST, maybe it takes on more importance.

If you want the compilation to be completely comprehensive, it would need to have something rom BAD BOY, RINGO THE 4th and OLD WAVE.

There's a great cover of She's About a Mover on OLD WAVE.

Any complilation would have to include Weight of the World and Golden Blunders from his '92 album, as well as a Attention and Cookin' in the kitchen in of Love.  I agree that all of the Balst from the Past tracks, plus the recent stuff and a few more from the late 70s/early 80s period could be a great 80 minute cd.
