U2. Out of those four, it would be hard for me to choose between Stones/Floyd/Zeppelin....not a big Who fan though.

its hard for me to pick from Floyd, stones and zep but i'll go with Zep, because they have so many classics.  I never really liked the Who too much.

I chose older bands. Nirvana is more recent. I'd have to start a new poll for those bands like U2 and Nirvana. Oh and I left out the Doors! I knew I forgot someone!

Me too! I'm crazy about them right now. Although I did go through a very long I cannot stand the Who and turn them off right now period! But that was after I had listened to them over and over and over again. I got myself sick of them. But I'm back to loving them again! Most especially the drummer.

I think Zeppelin is the only band that comes close to the Beatles.  Right now I've got Immigrant Song on.  That scream is so awesome.

Led Zeppelin is the only band that comes anywhere near the Bealtes.  And Cream is my third favorite, you left them off of there too.  You also left off the Jimi Hendrix Experience, and the Allman Brothers Band.

And I don't like Nirvana that much either.  Gloomy music is alright in tiny doses, but I can't handle too much of it.  Music should be uplifting and beautiful, not spiritually marred and hateful.

Led Zeppelin is not the only band that comes close to the Beatles. Pink Floyd is better than Led Zeppelin, and the Doors, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, and some other bands also come really close. And Neil Young and David Bowie, but they're not bands.

Other than those in the poll - Cream is great, The Doors are great, Hendrix is great.

Out of those 4 I picked Zeppelin mostly because of their range of songs that I really like. Floyd I think is very clever and soothing. Music with a message. The Who, well, they made some good hits. Rolling Stones will always be one of the greatest groups ever.

The Rolling Stones are pretty awesome.  Some of their songs, like "Ruby Tuesday" and "Mother's Little Helper" are right up there alongside some of my favorite Beatles songs. 

40 Licks is an awesome cd set as well...

Yeah 40 Licks is probably the best "Best of" compilation.

The Doors are also awesome.  But I think I still prefer the Allman's more, even if just slightly.  They're a great band to see live.  Greg's looking very old these days though.
