Pools of sorrow waves of joy are drifting through my opened mind, Possessing and caressing me." "About a lucky man who made the grade" "I'm coming down fast but I'm miles above you."
....And apparently the other three lads as well! I mean, obviously if they hated he's drumming style. He'd never had made it as far or become the fourth and final Beatle.

Being a beginning drummer myself, I'm still learning the basics, but Ringo is an amazing drummer in my standards. He really showed his talent in Rain and The End. And I do think Ringo was great for his desire to not perform drum solos, which most drummers will fight with their band members to get. If you just watch his right hand...urgh, I can't even get my left hand to do anything seeing as I'm right-handed. But I'll teach myself eventually.

Ringo was in one of my math problems today. Nobody knew the answer except me. Go figure
"Wings IV introduced Jimmy McCulloch, a spunky lead guitarist with grit, able to spur Paul on unlike any previous soloist. His debut track, the magnificent single `Junior's Farm', stands as one of Wings' finest emotional and technical releases."
"Few people on this planet know as much about Jimmy's musical history than you."
"Jimmy was a cool guitar player. Henry (McCullough) had been too, but Jimmy seemed a bit special." - Paul McCartney
No it was a true false question thing. Elton John played the piano (true), Ringo played the drums (true) and Elvis played the violin (false) The other kids in my class didn't know who Elton John was let alone that he played the piano and they basically didn't know who Ringo was and that he played the drums for The Beatles.

people, are you in crazyness? 11 people thinks he's not amazing drummer? what kind of Beatles fans are you? shame on you who thinks he's not amazing. do I need to name a few songs to clear here everything?
Strawberry Fields Forever (I don't remember which version, but drums solo at the end is insane)
I'm Down (one of his most underrated drumming)
Long Tall Sally (no comments)
Rain (greatest combination between drums and bass, insanely hard and amazing song)
She Said She Said (Ringo is crazy drummer)
The End (powerful drum fills and solo is perfect)
Polythene Pam (amazing and fast)
and various others, so why people think that he's not amazing? Abbey Road is in the 2st place as the greatest drum album. Ringo is amazing and underrated drummer, admit or not, but he's very talented.

We're all Beatles fans here, but we don't have to think the same. And it doesn't mean we're not just because some people don't agree with you.
Ringo's contribution to the early sound of The Beatles was immense, but I'd say that after Revolver there was a need for him to move on as a drummer, but I think he became just another drummer. And you really can't say that the solo on Abbey Road is amazing. Really, a beginner could do that.

well, its not Ringo's fault. early Beatles' songs were fast so and Ringo had to drum fast as much as others Beatles did on guitars, but years later The Beatles became more and more heavier and Ringo was mainly rock'n'roll drummer and he wasn't really prepared for blues or even heavy rock. I agree that Ringo was a faster drummer during the 1962-1966, but in that era he almost never have done any drum solos and during the 1967-1969 he have done more and more unique stuff, not fastly, but enough impressively
