How come so many repeats?  For a show that lasted about 34 minutes, how come they were so limited?

Some songs are just rehearsals. They needed stuff to flesh out the film and album, and these are the songs that they'd rehearsed previously. They couldn't do any acoustic, or piano numbers on the roof, so this was it. For instance Don't Let Me Down was repeated because John fluffed his lines the first time. Then he fluffed them again!
