I want to tell you about something I used to do. I liked to make "compliation" albums of the Solo Beatles' best stuff for a certain year (or group of years). I used to do this on tape, but now I'm thinking of burning CD's.It works pretty well on a year-to-year basis for 1970, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75. ...

But soon, not every Beatle had a solo album out in the same year (and John died) so you start doing compilations like this:

BEATLES 1976-1977
BEATLES 1978-1979
BEATLES 1980 -1981

and later on, stuff like:

BEATLES 1982-1984 (etc.......)

This is really a fun thing to do, and a good way to listen to the solo stuff together by each of the Beatles, almost like a Fab Four album!

Any chance you can list your selections, Joe - I'd be interested to see them

I think the Best stuff was realsed between 1970-1980. Things just got bad after that. But I think all there better hits should be in. I don't know many so I could n't make a list

Actually, I no longer have any of the cassettes! I was thinking of starting from scratch by burning CD's. Only bad side to that is, the tapes used to hold 90 minutes, but the CDs hold less... which means that each "collection" will have to be a dual disc set.

The song listings are just the ones I personally like best from the year(s) in question.
