Hey i was just wondering which three songs are the best by jonh lennon. I dont know any of his songs and i want to buy a cd with his stuff.

in my humble opinion, his three best are

1.Imagine
2.Watching the Wheels
3.Give Peace a Chance

Its hard to narrow it down to three


To buy a CD, i think the best to start with is Imagine.

Oh it sounded like you wanted a studio album.  By all means, Lennon Legend is fine as a greatest hits.  that gives you the most Lennon music.  But of his studio releases I would go with imagine.

I agree, you should buy Lennon Legend but if you want to jump directly into the studio releases get Plastic Ono Band and Imagine

No, dont look to it expecting to get Beatles music. he experimented a lot, but the result is often terrific.  But don't try to compare it to the Beatles.

Agree Lennon Legend its a greatest hits package.

At first I bought Lennon Legend, then Wonsaponatime, then Double Fantasy, then Milk And Honey.

I've toyed with the idea of getting either Imagine or Plastic Ono Band whats the better album?

PLASTIC ONO BAND and IMAGINE are bothe great Lennon albums, but they're very different. PLASTIC ONO BAND is very dark and depressing, where John was trying to exorcise a lot of his own personal demons. IMAGINE is a much more mainstream album, and the one I'd recommend to start out with if you haven't heard either.

Get both POB and Imagine because they are both, in my opinion, outstanding. POB is my favorite. For awhile I though Imagine was a much lesser album than POB, but I gave it a good listen and realized just how beautiful and melodically brilliant it is. Its gorgeous.

I could never sum John up in 3 songs. Is that possible? Could anyone try to?
