I agree in having threads that mean something and are intellignet. I hate polls and the "I like that  too" threads, but I refuse to let  it become personal the way Joe has let it. I said what I did and I was not trying to change anyones opinion to be like mine. I was however making light of the "looks" issue, like, hey does anyone remember how the media talked about Yoko and Linda's looks and how they were comparing them to Cynthia Lennon and Jane Asher? Maybe I should have phrased it that way. That is what I meant by the "sounding really superficial" comment it was a throwback to that, and I should have said it that way. The discussion, it seemed, became Joes personal cross to bare and thats ok. Lets just say that I'm just as not "passionate" about  this subject as [quote]Joe and did not feel the need to turn it into a challenge. I am not going take someones post and break it down line for line, and address it with Little barbs here and there. Why should I? Its their opinion and thats cool, it may not be the same as mine but there again, thats cool. You dont have to insinuate that a person needs to "mature or "cant keep up" to give your point of view. How about trying this method, here is my thoughts, what are yours? Thats a discussion, not, you dont because you cant keep up with me or your should mature before offering a opinion. I'm very passionate about my opinions, I'm just not passionate about turning it into a conflict or a personal insult. You see Joe I have not swayed your opinion and you did not sway mine. Now we have wasted all this time and energy when we could have been discussing this  subject in a "mature" manner. I would have listened to your thoughts and hope you would have listen to mine. Maybe we would agree to disagree and not spent all this time in such a negative way.

Aww gee, Rickenbacker -- I did say I liked your avatar.

Maria, I do care when it becomes personal and tries to show the other person as intellectual underling. However, I dont care to be drawn into a personal challege.  Indica Walrus, thank you. I hope I explained my views better this time.

I see.

If you recall correctly, I didn't care for either.

I know I was just kidding with you
