Here are some reviews of the radio interview I'm dying to hear. Apparently they played it on E! as well. And none of us saw it!!?? Well, maybe they'll replay it someday. Note I didn't find anything about the Yoko conversation. Maybe it wasn't what I thought. I would still love to see this interview though.
Interview With Paul McCartney Howard and the crew were in awe as he interviewed the Beatles legend. Paul told of how he had found a new woman, Heather, since the death of his wife. He said he asked his wife if it was okay and an owl cried, showing him she approved. McCartney also spoke about how Michael Jackson bought his songs out fom under him AND how he does not like it when Oasis compared themselves to the Beatles. McCartney even got a chance to meet special guest, Ozzy Ozzborne, for the first time.
Recently, Stern had a two-part interview with Paul McCartney. My first thought was, "How the hell did they get Paul McCartney to be on the Stern show?" My second thought was, "How the hell did they get Paul McCartney to be on the Stern show?" I tuned in and I was totally stunned by some of the things that came out of Stern's mouth -- I figured that he'd give Sir Paul deferential treatment, but I was wrong. Stern grilled McCartney about his wife Linda's death and his recent engagement to a younger woman -- he actually said, "Boy, how weird was it having sex with her the first time?" Stern asked about McCartney's will, his pre-nuptual agreements, his relationship with his kids -- everything personal you could think of. It was terrible. It was disrespectful. I watched the whole thing. McCartney handled himself well, as you'd expect, but it was unsettling to watch him squirm under scrutiny. |
