Are you trying to nark me because I'm the one who takes the love and peace stuff seriously? On the other hand, George had a sense of humour. So, he might have seen it your way, for all we know.

Interesting point of view. It could be (George's kind of humour and used to be in the right moments) and which better moment than that one? I felt I lost a real soul friend. I felt empty. I knew about his illness but it was a great shock.
I thought I was being sarcastic. My point was that deathbed statements tend to be matters that are rather serious anyway, and yes, George would have expected it to be so. I don't for a moment think George used his last breath to crack a joke, let alone passed away before getting to the punch line.
