Awesome list. You never saw the Who though? I'd be jealous of anyone that saw the Who in the 70's. But I'm already jealous that you saw McCartney, Harrison, Zeppelin, Floyd and the Stones back then! Very cool.

I haven't been to many.

The best so far would be a Maynard Ferguson concert held at Palm Beach Gardens High School in 2001.  Damn, that man can hit the highest notes imaginable...

Haven't been to many concerts, but the best must have been Van Halen, Aussie Pink Floyd , and a Beatles Tribute band once too...

The best concert I've been to was Paul McCartney.  Ringo comes in second.  I didn't really care for the other people that Ringo had on stage with him.  They were all people that I have no interest in.

I've only ever been to one concert (im cheap, there always too expensive ). But yeh, it was Powderfinger, and it was brilliant.
'(

I'd rate seeing Powderfinger as one of my favourites too, I saw them at Homebake in Melbourne in 1998 along with other greeat Aussie bands, especially You Am I and even.  Powderfinger KILLED with a version of Midnoght Oil's Hercules.

I also saw Everclear that year, they were fantastic and I got to neet them afterwards and they were so nice.

Other memorable ones were the Hollies in 2001, INXS in 1991, and Dandy Warhols in 2000.

I saw Van Halen live at the old Charlotte Coliseum in NC during my youth with Autograph as the opening act on 2/1/84 which I will never forget when they were the kings of rock with few equals at the time which is on bootleg which I heard on a VH/DLR website bringing back memories along with AC/DC(83), Ozzy Osbourne(83), Molly Hatchet/Blackfoot(83), Heart/Kansas(83) & Iron maiden/Quiet Riot(83) at he height of Metal Health mania but I wouldn't go to concerts today because concert tickets cost too damn much!

The best?  I saw Aerosmith in 1990, supporting the Pump album.  As far as concert sound went, that was the best for me.  Being a long time fan it was funny watching the people who only knew the Pump songs looking bewildered when they played their older tunes.

Billy Joel I;ve seen 4 times and he's great as well, and the tour he did with Elton John was also excellent, although I had crappy seats for that one.  Pearl Jam also do a great live show, and I've seen them each time they've come out.  I was also lucky enough to see Nirvana when they played at the gold coast, I guess that was around '92?

I also saw a gig with James Morrison and Tommy Emmanuel a few years ago - and that was great too.  Powderfinger always put on a great show (living in Brisbane, I used to see them when they played pub gigs) and INXS were awesome also.

Here's another clue for you all; the Walrus was Paul...

The best was McCartney!
Elton a close second.

John: You're just a lonely old man from Liverpool.
Grandfather: But I'm clean!
John: Are ya?
