I was listening to Sunday Morning by No Doubt today and I was thinking that the opening riffs sound a lot like the ones in Day Tripper. Does anyone else agree or am I just crazy?

Never heard the song you mention. The riffs in 'Day Tripper' sounded like an old song called 'Watch Your Step'.  John brought the original 45 record down to the WNEW radio station in '74 where he admitted to "nicking" a lot of things from older tunes.

I can kinda hear a similarity although I had to go download the song just to see if I could hear it. I never noticed it any other time before though.
