Geez, Alan, you're a regular Mal Evans insider over there!  Hey, tell Paul next time you see him I'm inviting him over for a barbecue.  Any old day will do.

He can bring the.....oh.  Um.  Tell him I'm having a grape stomping instead.  Hopefully nothing against the vegan tenets dancing on grapes and drinking wine.

You could do those veggie sausages, but they stick to the grill and catch fire... lovely smell!!!!

Yeah a lot of those soy based products used to be horrible meat substitutes, tho now they've got it down pretty well.  Or the tofu <shudder> tho I suppose it's good if prepared right.

Like in the 70's the cigarette companies tried to  a 'safe' ciggie made out of things like lettuce.  Unsurprisingly, no one wanted them.

Things like lettuce reminds me of the wreath he's wearing:

If the guys at Faber were there in 64 no doubt they'd be Beatle fans.

John: You're just a lonely old man from Liverpool.
Grandfather: But I'm clean!
John: Are ya?

God, that's a tough call.  A lot of those frat guys didn't like the Beatles since they were far more into drinking and being jocks.  The Beatles were far too effeminate for a lot of those puddin' heads.  In time they came around, but not 1964.

They seemed to be into a lot of R and B! Or is it motown? I don't know. What's that song they play at the party when they go 'A little bit louder now..." ?

Yeah, rowdy party songs was what they seemed to be into more than, say, pop.
