I'm sure you all know this, but I thought I'd post it in case there are other ones you know of not listed.

  Liverpool (nine letters).
- "Sgt. Pepper" has nine letters, as does Mimi Smith, Jim Gretty (who

I've only heard a few of these before - it's kinda spookie isn't it! The strange thing was John was also aware of the significance of the number.

- Both John Ono Lennon and Yoko Ono Lennon together contain 9 "o"s.

The thing is that I've read somewhere that one can't get rid of the name given at birth, so JOHN never was JOHN Ono LENNOn, but JOHN Winston Ono LENNON. So it's 10 "o"s.

I remember reading that John complained of the name change because he was told he could only ADD 'Ono' to his name and that meant he really couldn't get rid of the 'Winston' and the was mad about that.
Legally, he had to keep Winston.

Dr. Winston O'Boogie! I guess he made the best of it!

I knew some of the "no. 9" stuff from Cynthia Lennon's book John. But some things are quite far fetched. i mean "All we are saying, is give peace a chance" (nine words) I dont think John was like "oooh, i have to give them a message that has to be 9 words long because i have this thing with the number".

How's that to add to the list: if you write John Lennon in hebrew and you  do the gimatria (which is adding the value of letters-its a hebrew thing) you get 222 which equals to 6. And 6 is an upside down 9!

A bit off topic- but if you write (in hebrew) Paul Mccartney you'll get 111. So johnny is double Paul!

I love number/letter games!

I did a little research of my own. It's really not too difficult to come up with a particular number if that's what you're looking for. I came up with nine number 9's (get that!) that relate to me. That was without really trying. I could probably come up with 5's or 6's if I had too.

Yes, me, too. It's 3. I love anything with a 3. 9 is good. 33 is great. My dad asks, "How can you have a favorite number? It's just a number!" Well, I do.

You are not the only one. My fave number is six. I even did a project on that number when I was like 7-8. It's funny coz if you add the numbers of the day of my birthday you'll get 6. Same with my sister, she decided her fave number is 8 and her birthday adds to 8.

It's actually really entertaining to find all these coinsidences with John and the numebr 9. How about this one: In Brian Epstein's book Cellerful of noise, chapter 9 begins with JOHN (in capital letters).

Starting with 'Live Peace In Toronto', and including 'Shaved Fish', it is indeed 9.

The U.S. and U.K. album discographies are identical.
