No, actually I lopped it off some time ago.  I grew my hair when I was in rock radio, but cut it when I had to do other things like software analyst.  The goatee has come and gone over the years, usually when I'd get bored (kind of like a woman changing her hair style).

I WISH I could grow a full beard and just cover this damn ug-mug from top to bottom and be done with it!  Or mutton chop sideboards.  But I can't.  All that grows is the ratty little beard, which now has too much gray to go around displaying.

Yeah, goatees are way better than full beards.

I don't know which avatar you mean but the pictures I've been using have been from about a ten year span.  The one of me snoozing on the chair is probably the most recent, sans goat.

Yeah, you're right, there was one there too.  It's funny, I have spent more time without than with yet all the pics I'm coming up with have facial hair.  Go figure.

I have no idea when that shot was taken.  Sometime in the last decade, probably about 5 years and back.
