they are all good. i recommend Live at the BBC, just so you can hear how good they really were. Stark, no overdubs, retakes etc.....

The Beatles were the the best band befor and since. Nothin will ever surpass what they did

Quoted from Frightwolf, posted September 10, 2004, 5:11am at here
1 would seem like a good choice, if it weren't for the fact that the first dozen tracks he might like (I don't know if it's a dozen of early rockers on there, I'm just guessing.  I'm prolly off).  There are a lot of psychadelic and stranger songs that aren't on 1, though.  I don't think anything on the White Album got on 1, and it holds a lot of strange, funny, and unique songs.

If he's ready to jump in with both feet, then the suggestions made here are all pretty good ones.  I'd recommend Revolver and Abbey Road.  Not necessarily because they are better than others, just because they seem to fit in best with his likes.  However, if you do that, you miss some good singles that didn't make it onto any albums.  Also, he may not get enough breadth to decide if he likes certain albums over others.

Therefore, I recommend the CD "Beatles 1967-1970."  Here is an amazon.com link. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obi.....s=music&n=507846

As you can see from the track listing, you avoid all the early stuff he says he doesn't like but it gives you a good listing of songs from the later years (skipping Revolver, unfortunately.)  It's a good place to start.

Homer: "All the time. It was the title of our second album!"
