I think Kashmir is their best song, unbelievable. Followed by Ten Years Gone, and Dazed and Confused
Sandra, Stairway to Heaven isnt necesarrily 'about' Lord of the Rings, but there are many references to it in the song. The "There's a feeling I get, when I look to the West, and my spirit is crying for leaving" is a reference to the Elves departure from Middle Earth. "In my thoughts i have seen, ring of smoke through the trees, and the voices of those who stand looking" is a reference as well. "aAnd a new day will dawn, for those who stay long, and the forests will echo with laughter" etc. And Ive heard the "piper" was Gandalf
Cool info. I didn't know if it was or not. I've just heard that rumor. They were doing a Zeppelin thing on the radio tonight, pretty cool. And then something to do with Zeppelin over the weekend. Wonder why.

Yeah my local classic rock radio has a get the Led out hour every day. its not only led zepelin songs, anything associated with them. they make some pretty far reaches, like "Jimmy page once was in the yarbirds, which sounds like Birds. Here we go with the Bells of Rhymey"
That's what the called it! Get the Led out. Except I don't think they do it everyday. Although I do hear them everyday. A lot of the local rock stations have Beatles things every weekend. Like 4 different stations. Pretty cool.

Oops I meant to say every Saturday.
Yeah weve got a couple Beatle prgrams up here, a good one is Breakfast With the Beatles , it goes from like 8-11 on sunday mornings and plays rare tracks etc.
I think every state must have Breakfast With the Beatles! Except for maybe Arizona. I swear I heard like one Beatle song when I was there. Yet about a hundred Elton JOhn songs. Strange.

they realy wrote some of that song about lord of the rings thats interesting
baah thought I would shove me vote in on this (pretty old now!) poll
I went for Pink Floyd. without hesitation. There's something really magical about their music from the early Syd stuff to later in their career. Can't really even compare it to Zeppelin and the Who to me! (Though all three are goood bands)
But every so often you come across something truly inspiring...
