he's maybe not WAYYYY BETTTTER in capital letters, but page's guitar playing is incredible...It's alwats though for me to debate on these things cause Dave is one of my favorites too (check my sig lol)...one thing that gilmour has more is a nice singing voice though...
being a big zepp fan and big floyd fan, my personnal opinion is that page's guitar solo's are better, especially when he did it with that big violin bow...but i still have big respect for Dave the man... it's good we have different opinions though, so we can make a big debate

Gilmour certainly has got a great voice and superb melodic, perfectly placed licks.

Yup, I gotta defend the guy. Can't help it. He's already so underatted to begin with! Again, I think they have such different styles it's hard to compare. I couldn't boldly state one is better than the other so easily. Now if it's a matter of preference that's a whole different story. Who you like better has nothing to do with actual talent though. I'd say they're equals. Both men are in two of the most influencial, successful bands of all time so they both left their mark.

Oh, I always thought the violin bow thing was just for effect. I mean, he got a good sound and all, but it's sorta like Jimi with the teeth. Showy. Dave did a few of those experimental things himself though. You just never see it. Except for on the Pompeii DVD.

i got it and it's quite interesting, nice guitar playing...really like the song "there's no way out of here"... you should give it a listen, it's pretty good

I know huh. For some reason I never buy solo albums. Don't know why. I should. I don't even have all the Floyd albums yet though. Gotta get those first.

Yay! The Who finally getting some respect! I just heard on the radio today that they've never even been nominated for a Grammy!! Insane! I mean didn't Tommy or Quadrophenia at least deserve one? Not to mention all the others just as worthy. Wonder what that's about?

quadorophenia was a great album. the bass work on 'the real me' is just mind blowing.
